On the week-end of June 10th to June 12th close to 50 % of the surviving members of the great WPI Class of 1955 returned to their favorite campus to reminisce and renew old friendships and acquaintances.

The class was treated royally as the Honor Class, all magnificently coordinated by Frank Horan and his hard-working committee and the WPI Alumni Reunion Staff. The week-end was filled with a golf tournament, several interesting work-shops, hospitality suite, cocktail reception with our new president Dr. Dennis Berkey at his residence, a 50-year Associate Reception/Dinner honoring us, an introductory address by Dr Berkey, a reunion parade, an Awards Luncheon, a class banquet and a remembrance brunch. Dean Bill Grogan and Coach Merl Norcross were our featured speakers, and several class members shared thoughts with the class.

Of special note was the Robert H. Goddard Alumni Award for Outstanding Professional Achievement given to our own classmate, Marshall S. Levine.

We had our most successful fund raising effort ever, and presented Dr. Berkey with a check for over $841,000. The Class also received the 2005 Attendance Cup for the largest percentage of classmates who attended, as well as the best new web site of 2005.
