Hi, all!

Just wanted to send out a quick summary of our meeting on homecoming
day this year:

1.  Five us met (myself, Cathy, Cynthia F., Cindy M., and Marc).  This
    was not an encouraging number!  We hope more of you will make
    plans to attend next year!

2.  We updated the roster (again), so if your infomation is incorrect
    in the Alumni Gateway, please fix it!  If you don't have access to the
    Gateway and you need to verify your information, get in touch with me!

3.  Alumni Council Report: Cindy M. and Marc are our class reps until
    next year at Homecoming, where we will need to re-appoint reps.
    Information about the Alumni Council is available through the
    Alumni Association website, but if you are interested in serving,
    you might contact Marc or Cindy about it. 

4.  GOLD Council Report: Cynthia F. reported that the group only met
    once last year, and she thinks it has been disbanded.  At this meeting, the
    group discussed how often WPI asks its (younger) alumni for money (too
    often).  This has improved over the past year.

5.  Money: We did not receive a budget report with this year's
    packet.  Amy will follow up with the Alumni Office to find out how
    much (if any) we have.  We will need money for Reunion '01.

6.  Holiday Card:  Those present agreed that we'd like to send out
    holiday cards to members of our class this holiday season, to
    remind them that we're here and publicize our webpage and class
    email list.  Amy agreed to work with the Alumni Office on this,
    and has since obtained a catalog full of lovely generic
    "season's greetings" cards.  Anyone interested in picking the card?
    Perhaps we should get together those of us who are in the
    Worcester area and pick it out.  In order to send the card, we
    need money.  See #5 above... 

7.  Webpage:  Amy reported that we do indeed have a webpage at
    http://alum.wpi.edu/+1996.  The page hadn't been updated in a while,
    and those present decided that Amy should add info about what's
    new with our class.  

    Since the meeting, Amy has copied the files over to her personal
    account and started updating it.  You can see this page at
    http://www.wpi.edu/~trek/1996/.  PLEASE LOOK AT THIS PAGE!!!!!
    Amy does NOT know all these people and cannot find many of the
    married women in our class!  If you have people to add to this
    list (hopefully, no deaths have occured yet), please email them to Amy!!!

8.  Cards:  In addition to holiday cards, it was agreed that Amy would
    send out cards to members of our class who get married or have children.
    Members of the class board who know of these events occuring
    should contact Amy with specifics.

9.  Event:  Marc would like to see us do some sort of class-wide event
    in this area to bring everyone together.  We agreed that this was worth
    looking into, and Marc agreed to work on it.  Send suggestions to Marc.

so I can have it up on the Alumni server by the end of the week -
Cynthia, I know you don't have web access - sorry!
