2001 Recipients
James C. Wilkinson '91
Jim Wilkinson, since your graduation a decade ago, you have distinguished yourself as a leader among young alumni, giving generously of your time as a class representative to the Alumni Council, a member of the Young Alumni Advisory Council and a member of your Class Board of Directors.
After receiving your bachelor's degree in manufacturing engineering, you continued your studies at WPI, completing a master's degree in 1993. As a student, you were instrumental in establishing the WPI chapter of ASME, and you were honored with the Society of Manufacturing Engineering Graduate Fellow Award.
Your active leadership as chair of the GOLD (Graduates Of the Last Decade) Council and as a member of the Alumni Fund Board helped the Alumni Association develop strategies to actively involve and engage young alumni and to subsequently seek their support for the Alumni Fund. Your ideas and sense of direction continue to shape young alumni programs, and we welcome your continuing involvement.
Jim Wilkinson, it is with great pleasure that WPI recognizes your commitment to your alma mater by presenting you with the John Boynton Young Alumni Award for Service to WPI.
