Insurance Program
The WPI Alumni Association sponsors an Alumni Insurance Program as a service to alumni. The program offers a variety of attractively priced insurance products, most of which are available to alumni, students, faculty, and staff, as well as their spouses, domestic partners, parents, children, and siblings:
- Medical Insurance For those temporarily without coverage, such as the unemployed and recent graduates, and for special situations, including travelers and students.
- Life Insurance Long-term protection with great rates and fantastic features. Coverage is available to $2 million.
- Auto, Home & Renters Insurance Special rates are available to alumni and family members living in the same household.
Regarding alums who are existing Liberty Mutual policy holders:
If you are already insured by Liberty Mutual, the WPI Alumni Association does not receive compensation for your particular policy, now or in the future. However, upon renewal of your policy, if you indicate Association membership, discounts not otherwise available will be granted.
If you are insured and buy different coverage from Liberty Mutual after association with us, that policy produces compensation to the WPI Alumni Association.
If you are an eligible member and purchase a policy directly from Liberty Mutual after Association sponsorship begins, you are eligible for all of the program discounts and the Association receives compensation. Liberty Mutual agents customarily ask questions about association memberships in an effort to qualify applicants for discounts and associations for credit.
