Construction Updates
What to expect over the month of April 2000:
- The underground utilities will continue to be installed. New Drainage lines are being installed behind Goddard on the North and West side of the building. As well as new drainage, electrical and steam lines between Olin and the Campus Center. Some of these operations will extend into May.
- The installation of the (2) 24,000 gallons detention tank for the storm water system will continue and be complete the week of April 17.
- Backfilling operations will continue along the exterior of the building on the East and South sides of the site.
- Structural steel has started on the South end of the building and will continue to the North. Metal decking will be installed as the floors are erected and will support the concrete once rebar has been installed for the slab on decks. All of the above operations will continue into May.
- Once the second floor slab on deck is poured on the south end, the electrical and plumbing contractors will begin the installation of the interior underground utilities.
Items of interest
- Due to the deliveries of materials to site the Goddard Lot will be closed periodically to allow trucks access. We would ask that if barrels have been erected to find other parking arrangements. In addition, once the term has ended the entire lot will be closed so that underground utilities can be installed which will service Goddard, Atwater Kent and Olin.
