WPI Students and Your Organization
The Career Development Center is committed to providing outstanding service to WPI students, alumni, and employers. We encourage companies to use the CDC as a conduit to reach WPI students and as a resource for information about the University’s academic departments, student profile data, and affirmative action hiring. We will help meet employer needs for entry level as well as experienced talent. Please do not hesitate to contact a staff member in the CDC via email at employer@wpi.edu for any questions you may have regarding our services and partnership activities.
Some of the activities designed to help to enhance your company's profile include:
- Career Fairs
Participate in our annual Fall and Spring Career Fairs for your overall recruiting needs. - Career Related Presentations
Present on topics such as Interviewing Skills, How to Work a Career Fair, Summer Internship Job Search and others. - Company Tours
Corporate tours are a great way to introduce students to your organization. The Career Development Center will work with companies, faculty and student organizations to arrange a tour. - CDC Staff Consultation Visits to Employer Sites
Meet with a CDC staff member to discuss a partnership strategy for your organization. - Gifts and Sponsorships
Contributions of money or gifts in kind are always greatly appreciated. To discuss ways in which your organization might contribute to the Career Development Center’s resources contact Executive Director at 508-831-5260 or cdc@wpi.edu. - Host an Information Session
Provide general information in advance of interviews and meet students in an informal setting prior to one-on-one interviews. - Job Shadowing
Students are constantly looking for the opportunity to find out more about companies and various career fields. The CDC offers students the opportunity to shadow employers for a day during the school breaks. - Marketing
Advertise information about your organization by sponsoring portions of our Career Fair or by purchasing an ad in the Career Fair brochures and in the student newspaper The Towers. - Mock Interviews
Serve as an interviewer and conduct practice interviews with students. - Networking Events
Participate in, or host a networking event for students and alumni. - Resume Critiques
Participate in one of our employer resume critique programs. - Sponsor an Academic Project
Work with closely WPI faculty and students on a Major Qualifying Project. Learn more about Academic Projects at WPI. - Tables in the Campus Center
Reserve a table in the campus center to provide general information about your company to students
