International Studies

Negotiating the complexities of the twenty-first century will require increasingly sophisticated understandings of the dynamics of other societies-and the regional and global political, economic, and cultural systems in which we live.  Students often choose to pursue a double major with a technical background, such as science or engineering, and in international studies. With a more globalized world today, organizations are constantly looking for people to travel and create international relations. Moreover, international studies majors can pursue global studies during times and places undergoing war and conflict, negotiate peace talks, learn about security policies and study to become diplomats.
