Summer Internships

Summer Internships are available to all WPI students as they explore career options, gain real-world work experience, earn income and contribute to society during the summer months.

To assist students, the Career Development Center offers multiple services to WPI students including: Career Counseling, Resume Assistance, Job Search Skills, Job Postings, Resume Referrals, and On-campus Interviews. To access posted summer internships use your Job Finder account.

All WPI students are eligible to participate in a summer Internship. The employer makes the final decision regarding which candidate best suits their needs. Students are not guaranteed a position via the Career Development Center, and in some cases, a student may not find any posting which meet their particular needs for the summer. Postings in Job Finder should be viewed as a supplemental piece of a summer job search. The CDC will provide assistance to students in all facets of their summer job search.

It is never too early to think about a summer job. Most employers start sending job postings by the month of October, however, companies like GE, United Technologies and Raytheon start recruiting for summer positions, as early as September. Therefore, we encourage students to start getting ready and "think summer" during A and B terms.

The WPI Career Development Center has developed a new partnership with Internships.com. Use this site as an additional resource in your search for a summer internship.

  

Colleges of Worcester Consortium Internship Database

Powered by College Central Network (CCN), the site allows area employers to post internship opportunities targeting students at Consortium institutions. Students may search the internship postings, post resumes, review their search history, and receive e-mails about programs, services and internship-related topics. This service is free for students and employers. The site can be accessed through The Colleges of Worcester Consortium web site.
