Temporary Disabilities
The Student Disability Services Office can provide accommodations for students with disabilities (e.g. broken bones, recovery from surgery), that are temporarily interfering with their academic and residential life experience. As soon as you know that you will be in need of assistance please contact the SDSO at +1-508-831-5235. In many cases, planning can be done in advance of planned surgeries.
The following list includes accommodations that may be used to assist students while they recover form their disability;
- Notetakers
- Scribe services
- Reasonable extensions of time to complete tests or quizzes.
- Use of a computer to complete tests or quizzes.
- Relocation of classrooms.
- Use of an elevator for residence halls.
