Middle and High School Programs
- WPI Strive Program July 2008
- Strive is a residential program to encourage African American, Hispanic and American Indian high school students to explore the areas of engineering and science. Due to the residential nature of the program participants from across the country will be invited. Application deadline has been extended to April 25, 2008
- Math and Science Technology Education Resource (MASTER) Program
- The MASTER program is a collaboration between Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI) and Worcester Higher Education Resource Center designed to maximize and compliment students 'high school experience in the areas of mathematics and science.

The director of WPI’s Office of Diversity, Calvin Hill, appeared on the WXLO 104.5 FM radio program "Community Conversation" to talk about WPI’s programs for African American, Latino, and American Indian students. Hill described WPI’s commitment to providing educational and career opportunities for these students, who have been traditionally underrepresented in the fields of engineering, science and technology, as well as the university’s outreach efforts to help area middle and high school students of color learn about opportunities in these fields.
