Alumni
As an alumnus of WPI, you may have questions regarding your student loan repayment or loan consolidation. The staff in the Office of Financial Aid at WPI can help to answer your questions and direct you to the appropriate agency.
As you are being inundated with mailings from many sources regarding loan consolidation, we wanted to give you the best information we can to help guide you through the process. To help you, we have provided a Loan Consolidation FAQ with commonly asked questions as well as questions you should be asking your lender or servicer. Please click on the Loan consolidation link on the left side panel.
The thing to remember is that current federal regulations require that you consolidate your federal loans (Stafford, Direct, and/or Perkins Loans) with the agency who currently services your Stafford Loans. If you borrowed all of your Stafford Loans from the same lender, you must consolidate with the servicer assigned to that lender. If you borrowed from more than one Stafford Loan lender or you attended another school and participated in the Direct Lending Program, you can choose the lender with whom you wish to consolidate your federal loans.
To find contact information for your lender/servicer please see our page of Loan Servicers and Secondary Markets.
