Financial Aid Deadlines

Students must re-apply for need-based financial aid on an annual basis. WPI Financial Aid Applications for the 2012-2013 academic year will be available in early December 2011.
In addition to submitting the WPI Financial Aid Upper Class Application to the WPI Office of Financial Aid, it is each student's responsibility to contact the U.S. Department of Education to file his/her 2012-2013 FAFSA or Renewal FAFSA.
FAFSA
The U.S. Department of Education will be emailing the Renewal FAFSA, PIN (4 digit code number that a student needs to file his/her FAFSA electronically), directly to the student's email address that was provided on the 2011-2012 FAFSA between November, 2011 and December, 2011. If they can not deliver to that email or if an email was not provided a Renewal FAFSA Pin mailer will be mailed to the home address.
The Renewal FAFSA PIN mailer will be mailed to the address that was reported on the student's 2011-2012 FAFSA.
The CSS PROFILE Application is no longer a requirement for most returning undergraduate students. However, filing this form is required if:
- your parents have recently become separated or divorced since you filed the previous year's financial aid application
- the role of your custodial and non-custodial parent has changed from the previous year
- If you did not apply for need based financial aid last year
- Or if you were recently re-admitted to WPI
Deadline Notes
The deadline for the 2012-2013 WPI Financial Aid Upper Class Application to be submitted to WPI's Office of Financial is March 16, 2012. The 2012-2013 FAFSA must be submitted for processing no later than April 2, 2012 in order for the results to be available to WPI's Office of Financial Aid by April 15, 2012.
