Employee Education
"In a highly competitive industry, providing our employees with the opportunity to gain new skills and knowledge enables us to maintain our technical advantage and market leadership. Partnering with a leader in science and technology education, like WPI, has proven to be highly successful for us."
- Richard Schneider '79, former President, Teradyne Inc., Connection Systems Division.
Teradyne Connection Systems, a technology leader in high-performance electronic interconnect systems, worked with WPI's Corporate Education office to develop a customized graduate certificate program that helps its employees become better managers.
WPI offers corporations many ways to engage, educate and train their employees. Such training has two major benefits to a corporation: first and foremost, employees remain current in their field, meeting the ever-changing demands of our technological era and allowing the corporation to maintain its competitive advantage; second, employee education is a proven tool for retaining highly valued employees.
There are many opportunities at WPI to educate and train employees, including
- Full- and part-time graduate programs leading to M.S., M. Eng and Ph.D. degrees in Biology & Biotechnology; Biomedical Engineering; Chemical Engineering; Chemistry & Biochemistry; Civil & Environmental Engineering; Computer Science; Electrical & Computer Engineering; Fire Protection Engineering; Manufacturing Engineering; Materials Science & Engineering; Mathematical Sciences; Mechanical Engineering; and Physics
- Master of Science and MBAs in Management specially designed to prepare managers and leaders of technology
- For-credit, custom, on-site, graduate-level, accelerated education programs to help businesses achieve their objectives, through WPI Corporate Education.
- Not-for-credit professional certificates, seminars and short courses through WPI's Corporate & Professional Education program. Here, also, courses can be specially designed to meet corporate needs.
WPI delivers these educational programs on our main campus in Worcester or anywhere, anytime through our Advanced Distance Learning Network. Custom-designed programs can also be delivered at a corporate site.
