Employee Referral Bonus Program
- All permanent non-faculty, exempt and non-exempt positions that are posted on or after September 1, 1999 are eligible for the Employee Referral Bonus.
- Faculty and staff at WPI are eligible to receive the Employee Referral Bonus, with the exception of Vice Presidents, employees in the Human Resources Office, individuals referring their own direct or indirect reports into their own department, and the hiring supervisor of the open position.
- There is no limit to the number of referrals an employee may provide.
- Referrals for candidates currently employed (permanent or temporary) by WPI or permanent or temporary employees who have left WPI during the last twelve (12) months will not be eligible for the Employee Referral Bonus.

The procedure for the Employee Referral Bonus Program is as follows:
- The referring employee must submit the candidate’s resume or WPI employment application to the Human Resources Office along with a referral form (available in the Human Resources Office). Referrals will not be accepted if a resume or application has been submitted directly by the applicant or by an outside agency.
- The referring employee will be advised in writing of the outcome of the referral.
- When the referred hire has completed six (6) months of active service, the referring employee will receive a check for $500.00 (subject to taxes).
- Employee Referral Program final decisions - in the event of any disputes, all final decisions will be made by the Assistant Vice President of Human Resources.
