Court Service and Jury Duty
If you are called for jury duty, the University will pay the difference between your regular pay and the amount you receive from the court for jury duty for all time served during normal working hours after three (3) days. The first three (3) days of jury duty are paid in full by the University.
You must notify your Supervisor or Department Head promptly upon receipt of your jury duty notice.
If you are going to be on jury duty for more than three (3) days, please contact the Payroll Office in writing advising them that your jury duty will be extended. Your pay will be adjusted to reflect the amount you will be receiving from the State each day until you return to work.
You will receive an official voucher from the State, showing date and time served and the amount of compensation received - you should forward a copy of this voucher to Payroll. This voucher should be received no later than ten (10) days after you return to work.
