Hours of Work

The workweek is the seven-day period beginning Sunday morning at 12:01 a.m. All offices are expected to be open Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Your hours worked, as well as starting/ending time may vary and will be determined by your supervisor. Full-time non-exempt staff generally work 37 ½ hours per week - Monday through Friday. Some non-exempt staff work 40 hours per week. The normal workday is either 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. or 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with two 15-minute coffee breaks and a daily-unpaid lunch period of one (1) hour, normally from 12:00 noon to 1:00 p.m. Full-time exempt staff are expected to work a minimum of 40 hours per week and are expected to work from 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. each workday.

Summer Work Schedules: During Summer months (June-August), the regular work schedule of at least 37.5 hours for 52 weeks a year, is adjusted to allow full time employees a summer work schedule the hours of which are 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Vacation and sick time are charged at your usual daily rate of 7 ½ hours or 8 hours per day not at the summer work schedule rate.
