Leadership Development Institute
Leadership Development Institute: A Results Focused Program for WPI's Existing and Emerging Leaders
Each year one of the most frequently requested resources at WPI is in leadership development. Two years ago, the Office of Human Resources developed a rich set of opportunities for managers and supervisors to advance their skills in such areas as team building, goal setting and attainment, effective mentoring, and avoiding legal pitfalls. A third round of the series will be offered this year.
This seven-session program will be presented from October 2012 through May 2013 with multiple choices of dates and times. Seasoned professionals will share techniques, tactics, and communication styles. Attendees will network and interact with other supervisors and managers from across campus to share best practices and learn new strategies for meeting departmental, divisional, and institutional goals. At the end of the program participants will receive a certificate, continuing education units, and valuable expertise to meet the daily challenges of leading and supervising people.
Please click on the links below for detailed information on the sessions, the instructors, and how to register.
Sessions will be held in the Human Resources Training Room in Forkey Conference Room, Harrington Auditorium unless otherwise noted. Beverages will be provided prior to the beginning of each session.
