How the Office of Human Resources Can Help
The staff in the Office of Human Resources understands the unique challenges managers face, and can provide support to managers on campus in many ways. Please contact us at any time to schedule a meeting if you need our assistance. Visit Who’s Who in HR to determine who would be the best person in HR to speak with.
Helpful Resources:
-
Manager’s Resource Toolkit
The Manager’s Resource Toolkit provides guidelines for a variety of management functions, such as the hiring process, using the PeopleAdmin system for applicant tracking, and making use of WPI’s Employee Assistance Program to assist with confronting an employee relations issue. -
The Manager’s Exchange
For employees who are new to a management position, the Manager’s Exchange is a group of employees on campus who have been managers for five years or less and meet on a monthly basis to exchange ideas on management topics they are interested in. These meetings are informal, open forums designed to offer managers the opportunity to network and learn from each others experiences. If you are interested in learning more about this group, please contact Audra Gaul in Human Resources, or Charna Westervelt in the Division of Marketing & Communication.
