Trustee Technology Committee

The Trustee Technology Committee has primary responsibility on behalf of the WPI Board of Trustees for the conduct and oversight of the university's technology strategy, infrastructure, services, policies and information sources. The committee consists of three or more trustees appointed by and serving the Chair of the Board. Vice president for Information Technology Tom Lynch serves as staff to the committee. The committee offers advice regarding technology trends and their potential strategic and tactical implications and recommends university policies and guidelines for the use and security of information sources, technology assets and resources. The current Technology Committee chair is Carleton F. Kilmer Jr.

IT Advisory Committee (ITAC)

The purpose of the committee is to help WPI meet the challenge of deciding how to transform its environment to best accommodate and promote the use of technologies for teaching, learning, research services and administration. The committee provides leadership for campus-wide consensus building through critical discussion of goals and values, with very broad participation offering diversity of views.
