WPI Information Technology - Information for New Students
Welcome to WPI!
WPI students are granted access to a wide range of technology resources. The Information Technology (IT) staff has put together some steps to help you get ready for your time at WPI.
These pages will walk you through setting up your WPI accounts, including WPI email, and answer some questions you may have about WPI's network and other resources, as well as what kind of computer we recommend you bring to campus.
Recommended Steps to Get Started
| Step 1: Create your accounts | → | Step 2: Computer Recommendations | → | Step 3: Information about WPI's Network | → | Step 4: Information about Software |
Students
- Step 1 can only be completed by you!
- While you don't have to visit steps 1 through 4 in order, downloading software and using some of WPI's network resources requires you to first set up your accounts.
Parents
- Steps 2, 3, and 4 contain information for you and your student. Here we detail the kind of computers we recommend for students, as well as provide some information on what your student will need to be prepared for and what items to bring to campus.
Need Help?
