P2P – Copyright Issues
Copyright infringement is a violation of university policy and may result in university or legal action. Many users of peer-to-peer (P2P) sites and software programs unwittingly upload illegal files. P2P is disabled on the WPI network because of its high bandwidth costs and the vulnerabilities that expose the network to malware, malevolent programs and individuals.
