Computer Labs & Classrooms

Public Computer Labs

While many students bring their own computers to campus, WPI students have access to the more than 300 computers in over 15 public access computer labs located throughout campus. Several computer labs are open 24 hours a day when classes are in session. For more information, see the CCC Labs page.

Instruction Labs

Anderson Instruction Labs A and B are located on the first floor of Gordon Library. Both labs were partially funded by a generous gift from Albert G. Anderson Jr., former library director. Lab A includes 15 PCs and seating for 30. Instruction Lab B includes 14 PCs and seating for 14. Both labs are equipped with an instructor PC and projection equipment. The labs were built to house two of WPI's training segments: computer training (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and information literacy instruction. For more information, see Help and Instruction.

Electronic Classrooms

The Academic Technology Center maintains electronic classrooms for the Worcester, Waltham and MetroWest-Southborough campuses. Equipment in these rooms can vary, but most include an instructor computer, projection system and VCR. For more information, visit the ATC Electronic Classrooms page.

TV Studio

Located on the first floor of Fuller Labs, WPI's TV studio is a state-of-the-art electronic classroom specially equipped for video-based distance learning. Outfitted with four industry-standard cameras, a professional lighting grid, and an advanced control room, the TV Studio is a first-rate recording facility. To assist learning and instruction inside the studio, a large 61" big screen television and a large array of flat screen monitors provide suitable viewing of presentation materials. For more information, visit the ATC TV Studio & Production Facilities page.
