Appendix 2: Policy Concerning Students with Disabilities
Worcester Polytechnic Institute is committed to assisting its students with documented disabilities in the realization of their full academic potential. Worcester Polytechnic Institute supports the principle that students with disabilities are entitled to accommodations (e.g. untimed tests, reduced course loads) which are appropriate to their specific disabilities.
The Student Disabilities Services Coordinator coordinates services and provides advocacy and support to students with documented physical, learning, and psychological disabilities. Students seeking accommodations based on documented disabilities should provide the Student Disabilities Services Coordinator with their documentation. Students should seek the help of the Student Disabilities Services Coordinator in seeking accommodations which are appropriate to their specific disabilities.
Those students who believe they may have a disability that has not been documented may seek assistance from the Student Disabilities Coordinator for suitable referral and assessment. For more information on students with disabilities, please refer to the Student Disabilities website.
