Residence Hall Staff
In addition to the central office staff, paraprofessional staff lives in the residence halls. The Resident Advisors (RAs) are the central part of the residential life staff and are responsible for sections or floors of residents in a particular living area. The residence hall staff is selected for their leadership skills, enthusiasm, organizational skills, maturity, and willingness to help others. RAs assist residents with social and personal concerns, answer questions about the campus, explain and enforce WPI policies, respond to emergency situations, submit work order requests, and in general, are available when help is needed. In the Ellsworth/Fuller apartments, there are two Apartment Assistants who are available as resources for students. They plan programs and social activities for apartment residents, and also administrative functions such as completing room inventories, work orders, etc. The residence hall staff is a team of trained, highly competent individuals who contribute a great deal to the development of our living-learning community in the residence halls.
