The Technology Transfer Office (TTO) at Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI) functions to identify; evaluate and value; protect; classify; market; and license the intellectual property assets developed by WPI researchers, as well as significant users of WPI resources.
The TTO inventories available technologies; manages the invention process of review, negotiation, compliance, and royalty and fee distribution; provides assistance to industry partners to bring valuable new technologies to market; and maintains records for the many transactions and aspects of WPI-owned intellectual property technology transfer.
