Senior Class Board

The Senior Class Board 2010 is comprised of graduating seniors who ensure that the 2010 graduating class leaves their mark on WPI. Four committees develop various programs that you will have the opportunity to participate in during your final months on campus, leading up to commencement. The committees are: Senior Class Gift Committee, The Senior Class Social Committee, The Baccalaureate Committee, and the Senior Week Committee.

The Senior Class Gift Committee, through education and staff guidance, will educate the senior class on the importance, necessity and prestige of Annual Giving. As a function of the Senior Board, the Senior Gift Committee will attempt to unify the class of 2010 through a successful Gift effort.

The Senior Class Social Committee is a subcommitee of Senior Week and is responsible for planning the social events, outside of Senior Week, to celebrate the Class of 2010. Possible events include: 100 Days 'til Graduation, 50 Days 'til Graduation, 0-Year Reunion (held at Homecoming 2010). This committee will do the bulk of its work in C and D terms, as well as a little over the summer after graduation in preparation for 0-Year Reunion.

The Baccalaureate Committee selects the student speakers, keynote speakers, and musical performances for the Baccalaureate program. Through a process of auditioning, the committee votes on the program that they think will best represent their class. In addition to selection, the Committee develops the Program Booklet for this ceremony.

The Senior Week Committee develops the activities that will be offered during the week before Commencement. In the past Seniors have had a Boston Harbor Cruise, Foxwoods Casino trip, Six Flags trip, and have attended a Pawtucket Red Sox game, to name a few. Senior Week is a time to celebrate the completion of your degree and to reconnect with your class before Commencement. The students on this committee work hard to develop a program that the whole class will enjoy.

Each committee holds weekly or bi-weekly meetings. The Senior Board Chair will be elected from the Senior Board. And as a member of the Senior Board you will be able to make a contribution to the Class Board of Directors.
