“For The Time of Your Life"

Improving Motivation and Time Management

This group is designed with WPI students in mind, recognizing that time moves quickly within 7-week terms.  Successful navigation of the challenges and opportunities at WPI requires sustained motivation and the ability to effectively manage your time.  In this "hands on" seminar you will learn more about your own style of managing time as well as a number of suggestions about how to get more out of each week while staying healthy and in balance.  Additionally you'll connect more closely with your own positive motivation and hear about strategies to maintain that drive throughout your time at WPI.

Conflict Management

Conflict can be expected whenever people attempt to live, learn and work together, it’s only natural. Our ability to recognize and effectively resolve conflict is a key to establishing trusting work and personal relationships. This group helps people understand how and where conflict typically arises and what they can to manage and resolve difficult situations.

Team Dynamics

In the business world, individuals are often expected to work effectively with others in project teams. WPI helps to prepare its students for this by providing several opportunities to work together in groups, which can be quite challenging. This group helps individuals understand where problems can emerge by learning about stages of group development, how individual difference can cause tension and how to capitalize on these differences to get the most out of a team experience.

Navigating the Relationship Maze

Just what is a healthy relationship? How can we make our relationships healthier? What's the best way to begin or end relationships? Discussing these and other questions about relationships can help students navigate the relationship maze.

Self-Esteem

Self-worth and self-confidence contribute significantly to students' success and overall satisfactions with life. What is self-esteem? Where does it come from? What can we do to improve our self-esteem?

Sports Psychology and Performance Enhancement

This group is not just for student athletes. Learn about and experience current research and trends in the field of performance enhancement including visualization exercises, pre/post performance routines, managing stress and anxiety and getting in “the zone”.
