Trustee Mentor Program

With the support and encouragement of WPI's Board of Trustees, the Division of Student Affairs and Campus Life has successfully coordinated a mentoring program, now in its 12th year, which matches students with a member of the Board of Trustees in a mentoring relationship. The program offers informal and formal opportunities for a student and a trustee mentor to communicate with one another during the academic year and to exchange personal and professional experiences in a mentor/mentee relationship through graduation.

The goals of the program are to foster communication between WPI students and trustees and to provide mentoring opportunities with highly successful community members. Communication between mentors and mentees will take place via email, phone, and depending on the availability of the mentor, through informal interactions over lunch or dinner. There will also be opportunities for on-campus contact when the trustees are on campus for a meeting or university event.  Sophomore and junior students are eligible to apply.

An application is available online or from the Office of Student Affairs Office and Campus Life in the Campus Center, Room 226.  Personal interviews will follow the application process. If you have any questions about the program please contact the Office of Student Affairs and Campus Life at 508-831-5060.

The deadline for submitting applications is Friday, April 11, 2008.
