Women Don't Ask - February 20, 2008

Dr. Tomi-Ann Roberts is the Catherine Winkler Herman Professor of Psychology at Colorado College (endowed chair). She received her B.A. from Smith College in 1985, and her Ph.D. from Stanford University in 1990. Her work focuses on gender, the body, and emotions. She is a member of the APA Pres.

Dr. Roberts discussed her research on objectification theory and issues in gender differences in educational and work settings. Here talk touched upon feedback, women's self-defeating behaviors (e.g., tag-questions, tentative speech), work-group composition, and other issues.
