Nicole D. Bradford serves as the Assistant Dean of Students and Director of Diversity Programs. She oversees the Office of Diversity Programs which includes: Office of Women's Programs, Collegiate Religious Center, OASIS Multicultural Center, Community Pipeline Programs, Summer Programs, Excellence in Math, Science & Engineering Program, and Louis Stokes Alliance for Minority Participation Program. Nicole has worked in higher education for over ten years, and she holds a Doctorate Degree in Higher Education Administration.
Eric Chojnowski joined WPI in February 2008 as Benefits Administrator in the Human Resources Department. He graduated from Westfield State College in 1992 with a BS in Mass Communication, and he obtained his SPHR certification in 2004. Eric has worked in the Human Resource field for the past 16 years, specializing in benefits for the past 7 years.
Jillian Cohen is currently a junior at WPI majoring in Management Engineering and is Pre-Dental. She serves as the Public Relations Chairman for the Phi Sigma Sigma women's fraternity and is a Crimson Key tour guide on campus. She has also been actively involved in the Residence Hall Council as a founding member and as Director of Programming for the past two years. Jill is the Community Council’s secretary.
Thomas Collins has been a member of the WPI community for 11 years, 4 as an undergraduate and 7 as a member of the CCC. Thomas was a member of the WPI Glee Club for 7 years and now serves on the Glee Club Alumni Association Board as Secretary/Treasurer. Thomas is involved with a variety of WPI theatre productions, he is Chapter Advisor to Alpha Chi Rho fraternity, and he serves as President of the Greek Alumni Council.
Mike Ellsworth has been a WPI Campus Police employee since 1999, and he supervises the night shifts. Before coming to WPI, he served as a municipal police officer, leaving at the rank of Chief of Police. Mike manages Campus Police efforts to become accredited with professional police standards of the Massachusetts Police Accreditation Commission. Mike is the proud father of three daughters, all WPI alumni.
Karen Goudey is Associate Director of International Admissions at WPI. She began working at WPI in the Graduate Studies and Enrollment Office in 2005. Prior to that, she coordinated International Admissions at Emerson College in Boston for nearly six years. Her experience in International Education also includes administering exchange programs for high school students and study abroad programs. Karen has an MA from Lesley University in Intercultural Relations.
Arthur Heinricher, Dean of Undergraduate Studies and Professor of Mathematical Sciences at WPI, joined WPI in 1992 with a B.S. in Applied Mathematics from the University of Missouri-St. Louis and a Ph.D. in Mathematics from Carnegie Mellon. He was appointed Dean in November 2008, after two years as the Associate Dean for the First Year Experience at WPI. He has also served as Director of the Center for Industrial Mathematics and Statistics at WPI. His main interests are interdisciplinary and project-based learning.
Nathan Krach graduated with the WPI Class of 2008 (BS in Psychological Science) and is currently seeking a PhD in Learning Science. He is interested in cultivating scientific inquiry skills using interactive media deployed via the web. As an undergraduate, he participated in the Project-based Learning Center (PLC) and Global Perspectives Program. On campus, he's an enthusiastic member of the partner dancing community.
Eileen Brangan Mell is the Director of Public Relations for WPI. Eileen came to WPI in 2007 from the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation in New York City where she served as the National Manager of Research Media Relations. Previously, Eileen managed the public relations efforts for the launch of numerous products and openings, most notably LEGO Mindstorms and the grand opening of Mohegan Sun Casino.
George Pins is an associate professor of Biomedical Engineering. His research focuses on developing engineered scaffolds to promote tissue repair and regeneration.. At WPI, George serves on the Presidential Appeals Board, the Institutional Review Board, and acts as faculty advisor to Alpha Eta Mu Beta. He received his B.S. and Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering from Rutgers University, and completed his post-doctoral training in tissue engineering at Harvard Medical School and the Shriners Hospital for Children.
Diane Poirier joined WPI in August 2006 as an Administrative Assistant in Corporate and Professional Education. When the Distance Learning Office moved from Gateway Park to Boynton Hall, she has continued working with Online Graduate Students as our online student population continues to grow. She brings a background in Inventory Control, Customer Service, and Process Improvement.
Lawrence Riley, known to all as Larry, has been part of the WPI Facilities Department since 1995, and he serves as the Custodian for Higgins Labs. Larry is considered by all who know him as a hardworking employee and an honest and caring individual. He is married with two adult children and lives in Worcester.
Bhavika Shah is currently a sophomore at WPI majoring in Biomedical Engineering and specializing in Tissue Engineering. She is an active member of the Student Government Association, serving on the Committee on Academic Issues. She is also involved as a member of the Phi Sigma Sigma women's fraternity and the Social Committee.
George Shakan, class of 2012, is currently a sophomore at WPI majoring in Mathematical Science. He is an active member of the Student Government Association, serving on the Appropriations Committee. He is also a member of the Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity and treasurer of the Investment Club.
Jeanine Skorinko is an Assistant Professor of Psychology in the Department of Social Science and Policy Studies. She received her Ph.D in Social Psychology from the University of Virginia. Her research program investigates how different social influences affect perceptions, decisions, self-views, and interactions—including in the legal and organizational domains. She teaches Introduction to Psychology, Social Psychology, and Statistics and Research Methods.
Greg Snoddy serves as the Associate Dean of Students and Director of Healthy Alternatives, Recreation and Club Sports. In this capacity, Greg oversees WPI's alcohol and other drug education and prevention program and facilitates the blending and integration of recreation and club sports programs into a comprehensive effort. Greg has a Bachelors degree (Physical Education), Masters Degree (College Student Personnel), and Doctorate (Higher Education Administration), with a specialty in Japanese Higher Education Systems.
Liz Tomaszewski is Facilities Systems Manager, WPI Ombudsman, and Chair of the Community Council. Previous to coming to WPI in 2003, Liz worked in manufacturing management for numerous companies, including Baxter International and Tambrands, and she has taught courses in the field of materials management. Liz has an MBA from Bentley College.
James Wong joined the WPI community in November of 2007 and works in the Development and Alumni Relations Division. Prior to working at WPI, James founded an IT consulting firm which he still manages in his spare time. Before consulting James was the Director of Tickets with the Worcester Tornadoes professional baseball team. He began his career at the Tornadoes after attending WPI and receiving a BS in MIS in 2005.
