All conference sessions will be held on the campus of Worcester Polytechnic Institute. Registration for the conference will be at the Crowne Plaza Hotel on Thursday, October 9, from 3-7 p.m. and at WPI's Gordon Library on Friday, October 10, starting at 8 a.m.
Conference sessions, which will begin on Friday at 9 a.m. and end on Sunday afternoon, October 12, will feature Elizabeth Bishop scholars from the United States and abroad whose proposals were accepted by the Conference Program Committee. Included will be a plenary session with a talk by Thomas Travisano of the Elisabeth Bishop Society.
Plans also include an exhibition of Elizabeth Bishop's paintings and drawings and a guided bus tour of Bishop sites, ending with a ceremony at the newly-inscribed stone at Elizabeth Bishop's grave.
Conference busses will transport participants to evening festival events.
The conference concludes on Sunday afternoon, October 12, with a brunch and a reading.
