Guests

The Boston Park Plaza Hotel is centrally located in this very walkable city and there are lots of options for spouses and guests for entertainment. Many attractions are within walking distance of the hotel. A few are mentioned below, but it is not an all-inclusive list:

Historic

Boston is home to some of the most historic places in the United States, dating back to the American Revolution and beyond. Some of these include Faneuil Hall, Kings Chapel, Old South Meeting House, North Church, Trinity Church, and the Bunker Hill Monument. Many of them are a part of the famous Freedom Trail which is a 2.5 mile red line that links 18 historic sites downtown and in Charleston. (For additional information see Travel).

Duck Tour

A tour in which you are driven around the city and then onto the Charles River for a cruise.

Shopping

The Copley Plaza mall is three blocks away, and Downtown Crossing, home of Filene's and Macy's is just across the Boston Common. The shops on Newbury begin a mere two blocks from the front of the hotel, as well.

Dining and Nightlife

There are over 40 restaurants within a 15-minute walk of the hotel; their diversity is immense, ranging from Malaysian to Spanish. Boston is also rich in options for the evening, including live music, bars, clubs, theater, and much more.

Museums

The greater Boston area has an amazing array of museums, from the Computer Museum in South Boston to the Harvard Semitic Museum. Some of the more popular options are the Museum of Fine Arts, the New England Aquarium, the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum, and the John F. Kennedy Library and Museum. (See Travel)

Day Trips

One of the best aspects of being in the East is the proximity of terrific day trips. Salem, Lexington & Concord, Walden Pond, Cape Cod, Maine and New Hampshire are among the many.

Traveling around town

Besides walking, there is the subway and the bus line. The Arlington Street station subway stop on the Green Line of the MBTA (the T) is located at the corner of Arlington Street and Boylston Street, opposite the hotel's main entrance. The cost is $1.00 per trip, or you may purchase a Boston Visitor Pass with unlimited subway access for $6 a day, $11 for 3 days or $22 for a week.
