The Debate

Worcester Polytechnic Institute was proud to host the second Massachusetts Gubernatorial Debate of 2002, moderated by CNN's Judy Woodruff, at the university's Campus Center at 7 p.m. on Oct. 1, 2002.

Debate Format

The questions to the candidates were presented by four representatives of the media and moderated by CNN news anchor Judy Woodruff for the first half hour. The second half hour of the debate was in be "Lincoln-Douglas" format with Ms. Woodruff posing questions and each candidate responding.
