Lambda Chi seniors defend their pride

by Michael Weber - Lambda Chi Alpha

The brothers of Lambda Chi Alpha gathered on September 4, 2000 to play a game of football on the WPI Football Field. The match-up was Seniors against Underclassmen and the prize was pizza. Even more importantly, Senior pride was at stake. The Seniors did in fact come through crushing the underclassmen 23-0. Aside from the celebration of a winner, it was a great chance for the brotherhood to get together and bond after a long summer apart.

The game, which lasted almost 3 hours was a full contact game, and everyone managed to walk away from it with only minor injuries. Since the game was played according to official rules there were field goals kicked after touchdowns, as well as 2 point conversion plays. Todd Clark managed to get more action on the football field then the entire underclassmen team combined. Scoring two touchdowns and numerous other strategic plays.

By the end of the day the underclassmen acknowledged defeat, but vowed for a chance to defend their name. The Seniors all agreed to a rematch anytime, anyplace.
