SGA

SGA held its last Senate meeting on Tuesday September 19, 2000. The Senate discussed the issue of the academic schedule and will be using the results of the student poll to address the administration about this situation. SGA would like to thank all the students that stopped by the tables at the fountain and in the wedge to fill out this poll. Your opinion really does count! SGA is having its next meeting Tuesday September 26 at 6 p.m. in the Lower Wedge. Bland Addison will be present to present the Academic Honor Code proposal to the Senate. All students are encouraged to attend and voice opinions pertaining to this matter.

Phi Kappa Theta

The brothers of Phi Kappa Theta hosted a successful 3rd Annual Family Day Clambake on Saturday, September 16. The event was held on the Quad, lasted over 4 hours, and served 1000 students, faculty, and parents. Nearly 30 of the fraternity's brothers were on hand to serve up shrimp cocktail, steamed mussels and clams, corn on the cob, hot dogs, and hamburgers. All in attendance were impressed with the event and congratulated the efforts of the members. Although the event was free to all, Phi Kappa Theta was able to collect $350 in donations for the Children's Miracle Network.

SFS

The SFS recently held a special election for the position of Vice-President. The Elder God Hastur won by a landslide. Until Mr. H. shows up, Zack Stoecker-Sylvia will be filling the position of VP.

Gaming Weekend came and gone and it shall come again in accordance with prophecy, probably in D-Term. All who attend will have a chance to win the door-prize, immortality.

For more information, come to the SFS meetings @ 7:12 pm every Wednesday in Olin Hall 107. Ask for Hastur, Hastur, Hastur. . .

Newman Club

Well we have our annual fall trip to Wright's Chicken Farm. Believe it or not we missed John D and Jason N from last year. No one this year eat as much food as those two did last year. Even Wright's Chicken Farm was glad that those two were not among the group this year. Ian M tried to match them but he came in a poor second. Also it was great to have alumni meet us there and join us for the meal. All in all we had a great night of fun and friendship plus no one lost.

Our Greek Mass this past Sunday as we called it went well. It was a Mass at which we asked God bless and direct our fraternities and sororities. We enjoyed the breakfast after Mass and we are planning to do that more often in the future.

Fr.S's suppers are going well. For those members of the class of 2004 that have not broken bread with us, please keep an eye on your mailbox for an invitation.

This week our officers will be meeting to set up the agenda for our Executive Board Meeting which will be on Wednesday, October 4th at 9:00 PM in the Religious Center.

Do not forget our Sunday Mass at 11:30 AM every Sunday in Alden. Also our faith and Discussion Group meets every Monday night at 8:30 in the Religious Center.
