Girls Girls Girls!

WPI's own No Fella A Cappella is hosting our big a-cappella concert, "Road Trip - Vacation at the Beach." What better way to spend a cold and bitter November 11th evening than to relax for a tropical night of fun and a-cappella in Harrington Auditorium for the low cost of $5 for students and $7 general admission? And if seeing the lovely ladies of Interstate 8 perform isn't enough motivation, for that same low price you will also get to enjoy the harmonious sounds of WPI's Simple Harmonic Motion and Asymmetric, the Tuft's Amalgamates, and Ball in the House, a professional a cappella group from Boston! What more could you ask for? Nothing. So what are you waiting for? Email i8@wpi.edu if you want information or want to be put on our mailing list (so you can stay up to date on our shows), and watch in the wedge and mailroom for advanced ticket sales. See you there!

Eff Drop held by Society of Physics Students

The Society of Physics Students is holding an egg drop contest on Saturday, November 18th. If you are interested in participating, email sps@wpi.edu today.

Egg Drop Competition Rules

  1. Egg must be uncooked and not empty. You may not soak the egg in anything or freeze it. If the egg does not break during the fall, a check will be made to see if it is a raw egg.
  2. The egg will be released from the designated drop area (to be announced). The egg that survives the most falls wins, and in the case of a tie a judgment will be made by the SPS officers/ judges based on design and simplicity.
  3. The egg drop container must be no larger than one cubic foot. The container must be arranged in a way that allows the egg to be checked after each fall.
  4. The egg container must be free falling after its release. No attachments may be used to lower the falling egg (i.e. no parachutes).
  5. Teams should register with the SPS, and will have until the 3rd week of B-term (Sat. 11/18) to build their containers. Teams can have between 2 and 6 members. The team provides the egg.

To register with SPS simply e-mail your team name and the members of your team to sps@wpi.edu
