Fall season award winners announced

The New England Men's and Women's Conference (NEWMAC) recently recognized several WPI student-athletes as individual all-conference award winners. Harmonie Hawley, a native of Pine Beach, NJ, was named to the All-ECAC team as well as earning All-NEWMAC honors. Below is the list of the WPI All-NEWMAC honorees:

Kristin Busby, field hockey, Leavittown, PA, Harmonie Hawley, women's cross country, Pine Beach, NJ, Justin Lutz, men's cross-country, Walpole, MA, Michael Young, men's soccer, Manchester, CT, Rachel Zimet, women's volleyball, Trumansburg, NY.

Also, several players on the football team were chosen by the Freedom Football Conference (FFC) for weekly honors following the Engineers' 27-24 homecoming victory over Coast Guard, listed below:

Jeff Martin, Fairhaven, MA - Defensive Player of the Week, Eric Thiboutot, Nashua, NH - Special Teams Player of the Week, Kyle Ignachuck - Rookie Honor Roll, Chris Decker - Defensive Honor Roll, Nick Fluet - Offensive Honor Roll

Football all-conference winners will be announced later this week.
