Thursday - Jan 25th 2001

10:24 AM - Fire Alarm: Kaven Hall possibly Coghlin elec. They were working on the phone. Workers set off alarm.

4:24 PM - Larceny: Student had his calculator stolen, est. value $126.00


Friday - Jan 26th 2001

2:54 AM - RA reports female student complaining of severe back pain. WPI Officers and EMS 67 responded. Patient was transported to UMASS Memorial Hospital by AMR Ambulance

6:23 AM - 39 Dean St. Alarm triggered by employee. Officer put in code to clear alarm.

8:54 AM - Larceny from Campus Center

11:40 PM - Officers spoke with party regarding Massachusetts Alcohol Laws.

11:51 PM - Becker College: WPI Officer assisted Becker Officer with a trespassing arrest. WPI Officer transported party to Worcester Police Department.


Saturday - Jan 27th 2001

12:05 AM - Party reports having received complaints about someone shining a laser light into the rooms on the 4th floor of Morgan Hall. EMS 77 reports seeing the light coming from Daniels Hall.

1:21 AM - Community Policing Activity: Officer spoke to a individual about the safety issues regarding having a motorcycle in his room in Morgan Hall.

3:18 AM - Disturbance: RA reports hearing a male yelling very loudly in Stoddard Building A. WPI Officers spoke with the individuals involved who reported it to be a verbal argument. Parties agreed to disperse.

3:39 AM - Malicious Mischief: Party reports that he had parked his vehicle on Boynton Street in front of a fraternity, while he was at a party at another fraternity. When he came out to go home his vehicle was no longer there, and his keys were missing from his jacket. After investigated and patrolling the campus the vehicle was found parked on the Quad in the snow. Party was asked to have the vehicle removed by 10:00 AM.

3:35 PM - Drug Violation: Party arrested for possession of a hypodermic needle.


Sunday - Jan 28th 2001

12:50 AM - Found Property: Manager found a clarinet in Gompei's this evening, turned into the station. No name found on case; logged and stored in dispatch cabinet.

7:45 AM - Fire Alarm: Alarm triggered by steam from a shower at a fraternity.


Monday - Jan 29th 2001

3:41 AM - Suspicious Motor Vehicle: Possible suspicious vehicle on Humboldt Ave, nothing showing.

10:41 AM - Suspicious Person: Tall male knocking on doors of staff in Washburn Shops trying to sell books.

1:10 PM - Suspicious Person: Suspicious person from Washburn seen in Wedge area.

4:00 PM - Trespass: Removed 6 nonstudent juveniles from gym.

4:40 PM - Maintenance Service Request: In Fuller Laboratories, Baystate Elevator called.


Tuesday - Jan 30th 2001

12:41 AM - Working Fire: WPI Officers observed a fire and found a pizza box on fire at Morgan Hall. The Officers put the fire out and spoke with students in the vicinity. They were told 4 unknown individuals lit the box on fire and left.

6:03 AM - Intrusion Alarm: Alarm triggered by Coghlin Electric workmen at Boynton Hall.

4:21 PM - Aid Public Safety Agency: Assisted party in contacting WPD to report a past hit and run that occurred on Fruit St.

9:12 PM - Medical: Report of a 22 y/o female with chest pain. WEMS called for transport. Basketball trainer riding with EA.
