Wrestlers upsets #1 Coast Guard

by Mike Newcomb
Sports Editor

With only two dual meet victories on the season, a win against the top rated team in New England seemed unlikely for the WPI wrestlers going into last Tuesday's match against the U.S. Coast Guard Academy. The Engineers traveled to New London, CT and won, 24-21. The win dropped Coast Guard to 10-4 overall, while Coach Grebinar's Engineers improved to 3-9-1.Winners for WPI were: Nick Macsata (125), Jim White (133), Tejal Patel (141), Dave Capone (174), Matt Lucas (184), and Willie Welsh (Hwt).
