Thursday - Feb 1st 2001

12:30 AM - Parking Violation: Vehicle parked in front of Riley Hall.

5:24 PM - Aid Citizen: Citizen on Highland street flagged down officer, saying they were assaulted. WPD notified.

6:36 PM - Lost Property: Student reports that he has lost his cell phone and needed a police report for his recovery. Estimated value of phone: $250.00.

7:33 PM - Fire Alarm: Fire alarm activated in Stoddard B. Worcester fire department notified and are in route. When arrived, fire department determined the alarm was set off by steam in the shower.

9:06 PM - Trespass: Two males outside of Alumni Gym, in a vehicle. Both are non-students.


Friday - Feb 2nd 2001

3:00 PM - Motor Vehicle Accident: Individual in station reports vehicle struck while on campus. Damage included driver-side door and right front fender.

3:29 PM - Hazardous Condition: Toxic boron gas leak in the Washburn Shops. WFD was notified and ventilated the area. Cylinder was repaired and area returned to normal.

8:24 PM - Drug Violation: RA reports possible marijuana use in Daniels Hall.

11:20 PM - Disorderly Person: Officer observed 2 loud individuals having a verbal argument on Einhorn St. Officer asked them to move along.


Saturday - Feb 3rd 2001

2:18 AM - Aid Public Safety Agency: Assumption College advised that they were in a car chase with reckless driver. Almost hit one student and failed to stop for an officer. He was last seen heading towards WPI on Salisbury St.

4:45 PM - Suspicious Odor: Two calls regarding a strange odor from the 1st and 2nd floors of Salisbury Labs. Appears to be a cleaning agent.


Sunday - Feb 4th 2001

7:46 AM - Maintenance Service Request: Officer responded to the scene of a leaking radiator reported by World House. Leak is not severe enough to call HVAC. Work order placed.

10:31 AM - Maintenance Service Request: Plant Services notified that a toilet in Higgins House is constantly flushing.

3:54 PM - Trespass: Staff requested officer to respond to Alumni Gym. Non-students were trespassing. All 15 asked to leave.

7:00 PM - Malicious Mischief: Officer reports broken window on door in Alumni Gym. Work order placed.

9:30 PM - Threats: Daniels Hall RA receiving threatening phone calls.


Monday - Feb 5th 2001

4:49 AM - Suspicious Person: RA states he observed a 40-50 year old man acting very suspicious in front of Daniels Hall. RA saw him enter Daniels and pretend to make a phone call on the payphone. Officers observed man walking on Institute Rd. He is known to frequent the area.

9:20 AM - Towed Car: Officer ran plates on a vehicle on the Quad and found the vehicle to be unregistered. Vehicle was towed and WPD was notified.
