ALBANY, N.Y. (AP) - Andrei Troschinsky scored twice in the third period Friday night to rally the Worcester IceCats past the Albany River Rats, 3-2, in American Hockey League action.

Troschinsky tied the game 43 seconds into the third, then got the winner at 7:17 to help league-leading Worcester (34-16-4) notch its third straight win.

Mark Rycroft had the other IceCats goal, scoring on a power-play rebound 1:59 into the second period that tied the game at 1-1.

Rookie Jason Lehoux staked Albany (20-33-3) to a 1-0 lead 5:05 into the game, and Chris Ferraro restored the lead 6:29 into the second. His dump-in attempt deflected off a metal glass support and caromed into an open net as goalie Cody Ruskowsky came out to play the puck.

The Rats, losers of four straight at home, managed just two shots on a five-minute power play with 6:23 to play, after Eric Boguniecki was whistled for high-sticking Mike Jefferson above the left eye.

Ruskowsky finished with 34 saves for Worcester, while Frederic Henry stopped 31 of 34 shots he faced.
