Freshman-Sophomore rivalry highlight of Traditions Day

If nothing else can be said about WPI, it can be said that it has a strong sense of tradition. On days such as Homecoming, Winter Carnival, Founders Day, Quadfest, and Traditions Day, students are given the opportunity to learn about the history and lore of their school. Though this theme is everyday, there is one event that is about the school's traditions exclusively. This is Traditions Day.

Worcester Project Center officially opened

The Worcester Community Project Center officially opened on Monday, April 9. The inauguration ceremony was held in the Odeum, with many WPI and local officials attending. The main theme of the ceremony was the relationship and partnership between WPI and the City of Worcester since the founding of WPI in the 1860s.

Seniors receive graduation audits

At the beginning of D-term the Registrar's Office sent out approximately 200 notices warning potential graduating seniors that their degree requirements were not met. The majority of these notices were taken care of by the department offices allowing one class to be substituted for a different one. This resulted in many near heart attacks as students who thought they were graduating reached into their mailboxes to find the blue slip of paper.
