A Review: "Before Sunrise"

by Erika D. Simpson - Class of '97
Who is the right person for you? Would you know the moment that you laid eyes upon them? These are questions that we continually ask ourselves, but are never quite sure of the correct responses. It has been said that there is someone for everyone, but is there really only someONE? If so, we certainly must take the chance and go after him/her with every piece of our hearts.

Celine, a French Graduate student, and Jesse, an American tourist, did exactly what we dream about and hope that we would do when that special someone comes along. Celine and Jesse randomly met on a train and dropped everything in their lives to be together.

They explored Vienna for all its intrigue and beauty for the remaining 14 hours before sunrise and Jesse's flight back to the States. From moonlight walks along the riverway, to a candlelit dinner, to poetry about milkshakes, palm reading, and a multiple of intense and heart-felt conversations, they did it all (no pun intended). In one night, Celine and Jesse shared more passion and excitement than some couples experience in a lifetime.

So the next time that you meet some attractive stranger on public transit, go for it! On a more serious note:

When you find the right person, let your heart go. The sea of your life will ebb and flow.
