Here come the campus caravans

A Campus Caravan of three minivans will bring information about the March 23 "Ski for A Cure" Challenge to WPI on Thursday, February 23. Between 12:30 and 2 p.m., in the Wedge, members of the WPI community will have the opportunity to learn about and apply to participate in the challenge, which will support cancer research at the University of Massachusetts Cancer Center.

Three-person ski teams from WPI and other area colleges will compete for the Challenge Cup and other prizes during the event, which well be held at Wachusett Mountain Ski Area in Princeton, Mass. Participants will be permitted to ski all day; the competition will take place from 4 to 8 p.m. The WPI Ski Club is assisting Mark T. Cummings, the Cancer Center's director of development, with preparations for the event, which is dedicated to the memory of Danny Manning Jr., a patient at the center, who died of his disease on October 26.
