The film "Slacker" will be shown on Friday, March 31 at 7:00pm in Perreault Hall. The film is brought to WPI as part of the Passport Films series. Admission is $1 with a WPI ID and $3 for the general public.
Made on a $23,000 shoestring budget in Austin, Texas, "Slacker" focuses on the subculture that forms on the fringe of a large state university. In the course of 24 hours, the film examines some 100 of these "slackers," following each set of characters for only a short time before switching to passersby who send the storyline caroming in a new direction. Weird. A must-see for all conspiracy theorists.
