AIChE presenting environmental speaker

Douglas Gutro will discuss the history and current status of the Environmental Protection Agency along with some pressing issues of today and tomorrow. The workings of the regional office will also be discussed along with career opportunities that exist or may arise during the next few years.

Since July 1994, Douglas Gutro has served as Acting Director of External programs for the United States Environmental Protection Agency New England Regional Office located in Boston, Massachusetts. Mr. Gutro manages a staff of 15 who are responsible for carrying out all the daily strategic communications functions of the regional office including: media relations, environmental education, congress liaisons, community relations, and response to Freedom of Information Act requests.

This lecture will take place on Wednesday, April 19th at 7:00pm in the Lower Wedge. It is presented by the American Institute of Chemical Engineers Environmental Committee.
