Worcester celebrating Earth Day
You are invited to join Worcester's annual Earth Day and Arbor Day celebration on April 23rd at Worcester Commons! 1995 is a particularly special year, as this is the 25th Anniversary of Earth Day. The festival will take place from 12:00 to 4:30 and will feature speakers on environmental issues, musical entertainment by local groups, arts and crafts tables for kids of all ages, live animals and exhibits, and lots of information about local environmental concerns and issues. This year REC has changed the festival site from Institute Park to the Worcester Common, which is more accessible and convenient because of its central location. The Worcester Region Transit Authority (WRTA) will be providing free bus service all day on Earth Day.
In addition, six WPI project teams will be presenting their work as they compete for a $150 prize.
