Greek Corner

Alpha Gamma Delta

A big Alpha Gamma Delta welcome goes out to all the freshmen. We all hope you're enjoying WPI life and we hope you decide to Go Greek! Welcome back, how are we all? Can't wait to see everyone I haven't seen at the meeting tomorrow. First things first. We have some Birthdays: Happy Birthday to Mia today and to Michelle P. on the 3rd! To everyone w/ summer b-days, don't you feel sooo left out? Oh well, me too. I hope everyone's classes are going well and the dreaded wait lists didn't give you to much pain and agony. Is everyone ready for our first meeting of the term? Tomorrow, same time and place. It's formal so save your sweats for Wed. AGD would like to Thank LXA for all their hard work with the TTAT. Great job to everyone, esp. Erin! Next week KT would like "everyone" to help clean up the cpt. room. More info at the meeting. We need to look good next to that beautiful house next door! A welcome to LXA for being our new neighbors, when's the party?! Everyone get psyched for Rush and to all the freshmen, Go Greek!! -ADOVELING

Phi Kappa Theta

First off, I guess I should welcome everyone back (those who made it back) and I hope everyone had a great summer. The Phi Kap convention in St. Louis was a pretty good time, aside from Dave's constant crying and passing out. Dave did meet a new friend, although Chris and I found it strange that he was hanging out with an eight year old little boy. Back in Worcester, I think everyone is wondering what Rush has in store for Hasset's Hamper. Also, I think it's great Martinez has finally been opening up to people, but he just doesn't know when to shut up...even Hawkins has been complaining about Martinez's motor mouth. Someone should buy Clark and Trela a lighter so they will stop bothering me. Dylan, O.K., I know that you don't have the same taste as Batcha when it comes to hair, but there has got to be some type of middle ground. Skary Man, you know you have to live in to be on House Council...right? I would just like to thank Hasset for running one of the most successfull Work Weeks in the history of the house...good job Chub. Nate is cool and Chris has connections. KTFB... SL

Tau Kappa Epsilon

Here we are again, back to school, Old School that is. If you have no clue what Old School is, ask around and educate yourself, afterall, you are in college. Welcome class of 1999! Retreat was awesome once again this year, and if you weren't there, Emilio and all of the little Hulkamanics are gonna run wild all over you!! Great job Suennen on organizing retreat and confronting the state of Vermont's only fire marshall whom everyone knows personally. Lake, solo, rope-swing coming soon to MTV Sports. Everything from out-of-control wagon wheels, deers that drive Volkswagons, and new this year...tobogganing. Meanwhile, the DC crew was hard at work attending all of the Conclave sessions and making sure to be in bed on time to be rested for next day's lectures. Twenty four was the magic number last Friday, and Miah's own special Olympics Saturday really showed who the champion in the house is, or maybe these are the guys who really need the most help. Remember, re-hab is for quitters! Hey Spam, what a way to start the week huh? Beware, certain people have not forgotten about ba-bings over the summer, right Marceau? Get pumped for intramurals and the quest for the sports cup once again. Also congrats to the Lambda Chi's for your new house! Thatz it for dis week. Get physched for an awesome A-term, and the first party of the year this Friday, the Nuts and Bolts party!!!! TKE PRIDE!

Zeta Psi

Another Year another 22,000 dollars...Welcome back everyone to the wonderful world of Worcester Polytechnic Institute...CONGRATULATIONS to all the brothers for a job well done as we were awarded an Oustanding Chapter Award during the National Convention last week.

Thank You to Jason Kipp, Ben, Lucas and all the other brothers for putting on a new back door and keeping the house in liveable shape throughout this long and winding summer.

BROTHERS, remember to shut the front door when you leave the house. We don't need someone with magic fingers to steal our lovely new stereo equipment. Congratulations to Mike Gagne for his first successful party this past weekend, just thank God you're still alive and not in jail.

Public Service announcement number two, no wearing of letters in the dorm until the start of official IFC rush which begins on September the 18th. And in the immortal words of Tim "the mailman" McGilvreay "Is she naked?"...'Til Next Week-Jabba
