Scenic design discussion

Scenic designer Brigitte Altenhaus will present "Scenic Design in the Professional Theatre," at 2 pm on Saturday, Oct. 7, in the Alden Memorial Green Room. Altenhaus, who earned a B.F.A. at Concordia University in Montreal and an M.F.A. at Brandeis University, will present her portfolio and address the concerns of designing a show and establishing a career in the professional theater. She recently designed the off-Broadway show The Swan and was a scenic design assistant for Beauty and the Beast on Broadway.

The presentation is sponsored by WPI's department of Humanities and Arts, the Drama/Theatre Division and the Office of the Provost. Seating is limited. For more information, call Susan Vick, professor of drama/theatre at ext. 5682.
