Student winners in ACM's programming contest
WPI students Michael Lepore, Thomas Seidenberg and David Spencer correctly solved five of seven programming problems to take third place in the preliminary round of the Association of Computing Machinery's (ACM) Programming Contest on Oct. 21 at Westfield State College. The win enabled the team to advance to the championship round which will be held on Nov. 18 at Westfield. The winners of that round will move on to the international competition this spring. Michael Gennert, associate professor of computer science, is the advisor to ACM's WPI student chapter.
